Victor needs to gather medicinal herbs from the forest to make healing potions.  According to the recipe, he needs to gather 2,856 herbs to make the healing potions.  If Victor picks 45 herbs each day, how many days will he need to finish gathering all the herbs he needs?

TAB 4 EXAMPLE

Saru needs to sell a total of $1,230 worth of mystical flowers from the hidden valley.  Each mystical flower costs $41.  How many flowers will he sell to reach $1,230?

TAB 3 EXAMPLE

Saint-Germain has a library filled with many books.  His book collection adds up to 650 total.  If 18 books can fit on a shelf, around how many shelves will he need to fit his whole collection?

Young Lady: Cardia

You enter Alternate London and make your way to the train station.  After the long train ride to Wales, you enter a dense forest and search for a mansion, hidden far away from any other building or house.  As the night progresses, the mansion finally comes into view and you make your way to the front door.

When you call out to your client, there is no response.  Then, you try the doorknob and find it turn in your grasp.  You open the door and enter the mansion.  The building seems to be in bad shape, as there are spider webs and dust strewn all over the place.  The mansion is shrouded in darkness, save for the moonlight peeking in through the window panes and through the holes in the ceiling.

As you make your way down the hall, the moonlight shines the brightest on a particular door in the deepest part of the mansion.  This is the room you must enter.

After knocking on the door and hearing no response, you slowly push open the creaking door and find yourself in a room filled with toys.  There are many stuffed animals and dolls spread out all over, surrounding a chair in the center of the room.  On the chair sits a young lady, sleeping peacefully with her head tucked into her knees.

You make your way to the center of the room and clear your throat.  This finally gets a reaction out from her, and she lifts her face to glance at you with her large blue-green eyes.  She blinks sleepily and quietly says: 

"Are you my agent?  The person I've been waiting for?  I'm sorry I fell asleep and couldn't welcome you properly.  I've been waiting for your help to leave this place, and head for Alternate London.  Can you help me plan my journey there?  Oh, and I forgot to mention my name.  I'm called Cardia.  I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."

After listening to Cardia's story, you find out the following information:

Cardia plans to set off on a journey to Alternate London.  She has been saving money, little by little, to support her travel expenses and living expenses.  Cardia has saved $2,947 total.  She will spend $32 each day for her travel and living expenses.  How many days will Cardia's savings last?

Mysterious Detective: Herlock

You enter Alternate London and walk along the river.  The air around you is a bit foggy, and the temperature is nice and cool, but not cold.  The people you pass by are dressed in European clothing, and the ladies are holding parasols while they are accompanied for a walk by gentlemen.

By the time the sun starts to set, you reach the harbor.  The train station is still some distance away.  You take a little break to look at the buildings across the river, tinged with hues of orange and yellow from the setting sun.  After a little while, you set off for the train station and wait for the train bound for Wales.

When you board the train, night has already fallen. As you attempt to look out the window, you find it difficult because light from within the train bounces off the glass panes to reflect the inside of the train car. Then, you look for your seat number and find a gentlemen seated across from you, gazing at you expectantly.

Your client smiles at you and introduces himself:

"Good evening, young agent.  You arrived right on time.  I am London's greatest detective, Herlock.  I am trying to solve a major case that is happening all over Europe, with the next destination being Wales.  However, I am troubled by a few numbers and calculations I cannot get quite right.  That is where you come in!  You will be my great assistant for today."

Herlock describes the case he is currently working on, and you find out the following information:

Herlock is chasing after the thief, Lupin, who has stolen 1,946 treasures from all over Europe.  Lupin hides the treasure he steals in many different locations, and can fit 37 in each place, as seen with one of Lupin's hideouts discovered in Wales.  How many hideouts does Lupin currently have, if each location can fill up to 37 treasures?  

Young Vampire: Dracula

You enter Alternate London and night has fallen by the time you reach your destination, a large mansion deep within the city.  You walk up to the gates, which mysteriously open when you are about to ring the doorbell.

You walk through the gates on a gravel pathway and head towards the front door.  As you ascend the stairs, you look up to see the large wooden doors open on their own, as expected based on what happened with the gates.

After passing through the front doors, you enter a spacious and dimly lit parlor.  The parlor is surprisingly very clean, with not a speck of dust to be seen.

There are paintings mounted all over the walls.  Suddenly, the front doors behind you shut with a slam, causing you to turn and look.  As a slight breeze rustles a few strands of your hair, you face the parlor again and your gaze falls upon a young vampire, who seemingly appeared out of nowhere.  

The vampire clears his throat quite loudly and arrogantly proclaims:

"My name is Dracula, and I am the great ruler of the vampire race.   You, human, are here to serve me from the GOM.  I command you to solve my problem for me, because I haven't been able to do so, and I demand the answer to be presented to me as soon as possible."

Dracula tries to intimidate you with his speech, but you know that he is just a young boy with a heavy weight to bear on his shoulders, and willingly take up his case.  After listening to his explanation, you find out the following:

Dracula's birthday is coming up, and all 2,519 vampires he rules over will be attending his party.  For the banquet, he will be setting up tables in the humongous garden.  Each table can fit 27 vampires.  How many tables will he need to set up so that all of his guests will be seated?

Area Three ~Alternate London~

A mysterious city that is very similar to London, but is not quite the same.  Be prepared to help the citizens complete their daily tasks!

Waitress: Leah

You enter the Sweets World Café and head for the staff room to look for your client.  Apparently, she is a very popular waitress who is cheerful and always has a bright smile on her face.  As you pass the counter, you find many tasty sweets on display behind the glass case.  Nevertheless, your mission comes first, and you continue to the hallway at the back to find the staff room.  When you push open the door, you suddenly find a beautiful waitress with long wavy hair waiting for you.

The waitress immediately greets you in a sweet, melodious voice:

"Hi there!  My name is Leah, and you must be my agent!  There has been a problem bothering me for the past few days, and I finally decided to make a call to the GOM to request some help.  Can you please help me?"

After listening to Leah's explanation, you find out the following:

Leah is aiming to become the number one waitress at the Sweets World Café.  To surpass the current number one waitress, Leah needs to serve 6,902 customers.  Leah is able to serve 14 customers each hour.  How many hours will it take for Leah to achieve her dream of becoming the number one waitress?

Waiters: Max & James

You enter the Sweets World Café and head to the staff room.  As you walk past the tables, you can't help but smell the delicious scent of sweets calling out to your hungry belly.  However, you know your mission comes first, and you open the door to the staff room to find the waiters, Max and James. 

After opening the door, you find two young waiters waiting for you.  The waiter on the left greets you by stating:

"Hi, you must be the agent from the GOM.  My name is Max.  This one over here is James."

James gives a small smile and confirms Max's statement:

"Nice to meet you, my name is James.  We have a bit of a problem. You see..."

As you listen to Max and James take turns to explain their situation, you find out the following:

Max and James need to earn $2,646 to purchase an expensive birthday gift for their boss.  When their hourly wage is combined, they make $18 per hour.  How many hours will Max and James both need to work to finally purchase the birthday gift?

Young Chef: Orion

You enter the Sweets World Café and make your way to the back.  You smell the delicious scents wafting from the kitchen as you push open the swinging doors to find the young chef.  You spy a small boy hovering over a mixing bowl, as he throws ingredients into it with great ease.  The young boy looks a bit peculiar, with sharp and pointy ears.  You realize that he must be a young elf, who specializes in making sweets.

After you call out to the young chef, he turns around and spots you.  However, his hands do not stop moving and continue to work on making sweets.  He greets you in a calm manner and says:

"Hi, I'm Orion, the head chef of the Sweets World Café.  I made a request for the help of an agent from the GOM.  I'm guessing that's you, right?  Please help me solve this problem of mine."

As you listen to Orion, you find out the following:

Orion must prepare parfaits for a little girl's birthday party next week.  After hearing how many parfaits the little girl needed, Orion immediately ordered 2,567 ounces of whipped cream to put into the parfaits.  However, currently, Orion forgot how many parfaits he will be making.  Each parfait requires 17 ounces of whipped cream.  How many parfaits will Orion need to make for the little girl's birthday party?

Area Two ~Sweets World Café~

A café where sweets of all kinds is served by cute waitresses and handsome waiters.  Be prepared to help the workers smoothly prepare the sweets or serve their customers!

Female Ninja: Mura

You enter the ninja village, then make your way into the forest to head for the battlefield.  Your client is supposed to be scouting the battle from the mountain ahead to report back to her allies.  When the sun begins to set, you finally reach the top of the mountain and clutch your knees to catch your breath.  As you straighten yourself, you suddenly see a beautiful young lady in a suit of armor standing before you.

The young lady introduces herself in a confident manner as she voices: 

"My name is Mura, and it is a pleasure to meet you.  As you can see, there is a battle taking place down below, and it is my mission to find out as much information as I can to report back to my village.  However, in order to do this, I need your help, as you are an agent of the GOM."

You listen to Mura explain her situation and find out the following:

Mura scouted the enemy troops and found out that there are 736 foot soldiers.  The foot soldiers are split into groups of 26.  Around how many groups of foot soldiers will Mura's allies have to face during battle?

Male Ninja: Aki

You enter the ninja village, then make your way to the river bank. The sun is setting, dying the land in orange and yellow.  You look around for your client, but see nobody in the area, only hearing the running water and the soft swaying of the trees.  However, all of a sudden, a shadow appears out of nowhere and now stands before you!

A young male ninja stands in front of you, surrounded by small balls of light.  As you look more closely, you notice that they are fireflies.  The male ninja clears his throat and greets you by stating:

"You must be the GOM agent sent to aid me on my mission.  My name is Aki, and I thank you for making your way all the way here.  I am a medical ninja, or somebody who makes medicine and treats patients.  Can you help me with my mission?"

As you listen to Aki's mission, you find out the following:

Aki needs to make a healing balm with many different ingredients.  One of the main ingredients of the healing balm is honey.  He can make one batch of healing balm with 58 ounces of honey.  Around how many batches will Aki be able to make with 415 ounces of honey?

Ninja Boy: Saru

You enter the village, which appears to be empty, and look around for your client.  Where is the ninja boy?  As you search the streets, a quick movement catches your eye.

A young boy appears in front of you, with two monkeys hanging off his arm and shoulder.  He greets you with a smile and excitedly says:

"Hi, are you the GOM agent that is going to help me?  I'm so glad you could make it.  My name is Saru, and I really need your help in this mission of mine!"

You listen to Saru and find out the following:

Saru and his monkeys have a mission to deliver 539 bottles of medicine to a village.  The bottles of medicine are packed into baskets.  Each basket can hold 21 bottles of medicine.  About how many baskets will Saru and his monkeys have to deliver?

Area One ~Hidden Ninja Village~

A village full of ninjas is hidden deep in Japan.  However, agents of the GOM are allowed into the lands to give mathematical assistance to the ninjas.  Be prepared to help the ninjas on their missions!
